About the xPack Project

The project

The xPack Project serves as an umbrella for various individual projects, including tools, npm modules, and platform-specific executables. All these projects are hosted on GitHub under two groups (or organizations in GitHub parlance): xpack and xpack-dev-tools.

The project history

The xPack Project history is presented in a separate History page.

The web site

The xPack Project web site was created in October 2017, using a home grown GitHub-like theme; however, for a while there was not much content.

In June 2019 it was reworked to use a more elaborated theme, Jekyll Doc Theme 6.0 by Tom Johnson.

In December 2024, as part of the project restructuring, the website content was migrated from the TypeDoc sub-site to a local Docusaurus configuration within the website folder. To ensure continuity, HTML <meta> redirects were added to the old pages. Additionally, a GitHub Action was set up to automatically publish the site whenever changes are pushed to the website Git branch.
